The WHSS provides support to women who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk. The service has a strong focus on Aboriginal women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The service is funded by NSW Family and Community Services as a Specialist Homelessness Service which delivers services to single women over 18 years of age, without accompanying children, who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
